How Do Magic Mushrooms Affect People's Experience of Eco-Anxiety?
(You must be 21+ to participate)
Hello! My name is Isabel Santis and I am a PhD student in the East-West Psychology Program at CIIS. In this study, we will be investigating whether psilocybin mushrooms might affect the experience of eco-anxiety (worry, grief, or anxiety related to climate change, natural disasters like fire, floods, hurricanes, etc., and the personal, social, economic, and political impacts of these events).
The study will include the following:

For those who qualify, a research questionnaire that will take about 10 to 20 minutes to complete

A few participants will be chosen to an in-depth interview to discuss their experiences in detail which will take between 1-1.5 hours

There will be no compensation provided for participating in this study. However, reflecting on your experience might be beneficial to your process of integration.

No psychedelics will be given to participants as part of this study.
You are eligible if you:

Are 21 years or older
-
Have taken an intentional journey with psilocybin mushrooms
-
Have experienced eco-anxiety in the last year
-
Do not have a personal or family history of schizophrenia, bipolar or borderline personality disorders

Are not exhibiting suicidal behavior

You have read the Study Informed Consent and the Participant Bill of Rights
